I bought a netbook recently, and its only real shortcoming is the built-in trackpad and click buttons. So I bought this iHome mouse to use with it, and it's the perfect traveling companion. It's smaller than a full-size mouse, but bigger than some tiny "laptop" mice I've seen. Small enough to fit conveniently in a laptop case, but big enough that it's comfortable to use. Another nice feature is that the USB "receiver" plug that fits into my netbook is quite tiny--it sticks out only about 1/4 inch, unlike some other wireless mice I've seen that have a long "memory-stick" size plug that protrude one or two inches from the computer. This is the first optical mouse I've used, and I'm amazed at how well it works on just about any surface. I've used it in bed (with my netbook) on a hardcover book, on the fabric arms of upholstered library chairs with the netbook in my lap, and even on my pants leg when sitting in a chair that had no arms, and the arrow still tracks like its on rails. I won't leave home without it. Great device.
